ROAD

HIGHWAYS BUENOS AIRES - CORDOBA AND SANTAFE - ROSARIO: They provide a fast and safe connection among these cities.

The town is in the km 375 of the most important network of roads that joins the cities of: Buenos Aires (the city that has the aind port of Argentina), Rosario (important hinterland city and its main exporter port of cereals and oleaginous plants is also a very important river port for containers trade), Córdoba ( industrial center of car and spare parts terminals).

NATIONAL ROADS: Communication with Bolivia, Chile and Paraguay is carried out through the National Roads that go across the Province and become important means of communication towards the ports, thus forming the bioceanic corridor.

SUBFLUVIAL TUNNEL: It links the cities of Santa Fe and Paraná (in the province of Entre Ríos) across Parana River, thus providing a fast connection with Brazil and Uruguay.

ROSARIO - VICTORIA BRIDGE: As it also connects the provinces of Santa Fe and Entre Ríos, it is a strategic element for the development of industrial activity, which constitutes the main link of the bioceanic corridor between Valparaíso (Chile) and Porto Alegre (Brazil). Its main part reaches 55 meters, which allows for the passing of deep-draft ships.

RAILROAD SYSTEM: The line of Nuevo Central Argentino connects the region with the provinces of Córdoba, Buenos Aires, Santiago del Estero y Tucumán.

WATER AND AIR

INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT: Our city is located 30 minutes away from Fisherton "Islas Malvinas Argentinas" International Airport.

AIRFIELD OF CAÑADA DE GÓMEZ:It has a runway which is 1100 meters long and 50 meters wide, on semi-paved land covered in grass, which allows for the landing of small planes of any type. It also offers night signalling.
Facilities at Aero Club: three (3) hangars: one for keeping five (5) planes and the other two (2) for repairs, enabled by the National Civil Aviation Administration.

RIVER AND SEA FRONTS: Cañada de Gómez is located 50 minutes away from the ports by Parana River. In Santa Fe there are 17 private ports which, together with the one at Rosario, concentrate 90% of the Argentinean river and sea activity of grains, oil and by-products.

Through the Parana Paraguay and Parana Tieté river roads, the Puerto de Rosario can link the industrial poles of San Pablo, Mato Groso Do Sul, Paraná, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande Du Sul (Brasil), Bolivia and Paraguay which together with the industrial poles of the Gran Buenos Aires and La Plata represent the 5% of the industrial and commercial activity of South America with a population close to 130 million of inhabitants.

AGRICULTURE
Cañada de Gómez is a grain area par excellence thanks to its warm climate and suitable soils.
Soy is the most relevant crop within the oil grains.
Cattle raising includes beef cattle and swine.

INDUSTRIES

There are about 200 industries in our city and over 50% of them correspond to furniture manufacturing. According to data obtained from the latest economic census carried out by FU.DE.CA.(Organization for the Development of Cañada de Gómez, by its Spanish acronym), more than 90% of these industries are family businesses.

FURNITURE INDUSTRY
Santa Fe is ranked second as regards number of companies, production and 15% of workforce in the national area of furniture manufacturing.
According to research carried out in the Argentinean domestic market for Cañada de Gómez furniture area, figures show that the Santa Fe-Córdoba region plays a leading role. (as regards the provinces where the furniture factories buy from). From the Pampas area, 75% of the purchases are done in different towns and cities of the province of Santa Fe and within this province, 46% choose Cañada de Gómez.
